Overview

AeroLogic Labs develops professional air quality modeling software for industrial hygienists, environmental consultants, and occupational health professionals. Our current product is ChemVent→IAQ, a native macOS desktop application.

AeroLogic Labs does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information through our software. All processing occurs entirely on your local machine.

Information We Collect

ChemVent→IAQ does not collect any personal information. Specifically, the app:

• Does not require you to create an account or log in
• Does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details
• Does not collect usage data, analytics, or crash reports
• Does not connect to the internet for any purpose other than fetching publicly available meteorological and terrain data from NOAA and USGS servers (see below)
• Does not include any advertising or tracking frameworks

The only files the app accesses are your local project files and session data. These files are read locally on your Mac to perform the modeling tasks you request. They are never uploaded, copied off your device, or shared in any way.

Automated Data Fetching

ChemVent→IAQ may connect to the following publicly available government data servers to retrieve meteorological and terrain data needed for dispersion modeling:

• NOAA ISD / RAOBS servers — to retrieve surface and upper-air meteorological data by station and date range
• USGS 3DEP (The National Map) servers — to retrieve elevation terrain data for the modeled area
• NLCD GeoServer — to retrieve land-use classification data for AERSURFACE inputs

These requests are made on your behalf using standard HTTP queries. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests. The queries contain only geographic coordinates, station identifiers, and date ranges that you have entered for your project.

How We Use Information

Because ChemVent→IAQ does not collect any personal information, there is no personal data for us to use. The app processes your local project files solely to carry out the dispersion modeling and analysis tasks you initiate. No data derived from your files is retained, transmitted, or used for any secondary purpose.

Data Storage

ChemVent→IAQ may write local log files and cached data to the following locations on your Mac:

~/Library/Logs/ChemVentIAQ/

~/Library/Application Support/ChemVentIAQ/

These files record technical events and cached meteorological data to improve performance and assist with local troubleshooting. They exist only on your Mac, are never sent anywhere, and contain no personal information. You can view, delete, or manage these files at any time using Finder or Terminal.

Permissions

ChemVent→IAQ may request the following macOS permissions:

• File Access — to read and write your project files from locations you select. The app only accesses files you explicitly open or direct it to.
• Network Access — solely to fetch meteorological and terrain data from NOAA, USGS, and NLCD government servers as described above. No client data is transmitted outbound.

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit personal data.

Waitlist and Contact Forms

If you submit your email address through the waitlist or contact form on our website (aerologiclabs.com), we collect and store that email address for the sole purpose of notifying you about product availability and communicating with you about ChemVent→IAQ. We do not share your email with third parties, and you may request removal at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Third-Party Services

The ChemVent→IAQ desktop application does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics platforms. Our website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor traffic patterns. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.

Children's Privacy

AeroLogic Labs products are intended for professional use and are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because our software collects no personal data at all, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations by design.

Changes to This Policy

If the privacy practices of AeroLogic Labs change in the future, this policy will be updated and a new "Last Updated" date will be posted at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. The current version is always available at aerologiclabs.com.
